3 years agoTHE WORST! But WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced in my life. Now, I know we’re in Israel, and it’s always a bit off… BUT This has reached every level of ridiculousness. I’d stay away from this location/company at all costs. So let’s start with what was wrong with the employees at the location. They’re all sitting there and joking around, not giving clear answers about the additional surprise “Insurance” fee. They did not allow anyone into the location due to COVID ( I respect that) BUT, The 3 other employees need to have their cigarettes at the door while I am trying to understand what the desk agent is trying to tell me. Now let’s get to the car. The car was FILTHY with sand, sticky wheel, USED MASKS from previous clients. And the whole trunk was broken. And not only that, the dashboard was broken the interior lights wouldn’t even work either. Bottom line, STAY. AWAY. Also the car would shake when you hit 80KMH.3 years agoThis was a while back but I’m currently renting another car from another company and it just reminded me of a situation I had with this company. I rented a car from them in Jerusalem and returned it here. I was told that the rate would be the same if I extend… when I returned the car it was double my original rate. Speaking to management got me no where. I was told I should have gotten it in writing. Well that may be true but you’d expect companies to be honest and honor what they say. I have used Shlomo Sixt recently and my experience there was favorable. First of all, they were only company with cars available on short notice, AND they offered the lowest rates among all the rental companies nearby. What’s more, staff was professional, presentable, and super friendly. They were also patient, polite, and accommodating as I crossed my mind a few times. The whole process was painless and I was able to drive off with a nice car in no time. I’m pleased with their services and I will definitely go back in the future.
Great experience. In and out in 15 minutes. Great service. We got an upgrade no questions asked. The car was in mint condition. Return went as smooth as the pick-up. Friendly people. I would advise everyone to rent a car here!
The most unreliable car rental ever.
1) They barely speak any English
2) They gave me a car with a broken battery, I got stuck on the parking lot for 3 hours waiting for their service to come and fix the battery. They didn’t give any refund for the broken car they gave me
3) They said I can change the card on the last day, but it turned out that I can’t.
Ordered a car to pick up at 10:30. When we arrived at 11.30am we were informed the car wasn’t ready and we should come back in an hour. We walked around the local streets for an hour came back and the car still wasn’t ready so they offered us a different car and promised to bring our car to where we were staying by 4pm that day. Fast forward 4pm and nada. next morning they telephoned saying they had our car but that we would have to come and collect it. Went back again collected the new car took it home. Parked it and then went to use it in the evening only to find there was a constant pinging noise. They hadn’t told us that the car needed a code and the code was not in any of the paperwork. No reply to our calls and messages. Emergency number has to be called from an israel landline. Useful! So we went to a friend, managed to get the code from helpline late that night after we had used taxi to go out. When we took the car back at the end of the week we asked for our money back for the day we had not been able to use the car due to no code (not to mention inconvenience and half a day wasted when we went to pick it up) They refused to give us any money back. Typical. Wont be going back there again.
These people are extremely dishonest. I was correctly charged $307 for the car rental but then I saw an additional and separate charge for $113 on my credit card statement. Calls and emails to Sixt did not clarify what the $113 was for. They have refused to remove this charge. Note- I returned the car undamaged with a full tank of gas. Very disappointing!
