Be’ersheva is a strategic and important place since the days of Abraham and modern Israel. Why you should visit this Memorial? As Israel is celebrating seventy years of independence, everyone should visit this memorial as it highlights that the fight for Israel is a fight for freedom in the world. Why Christians should visit this place? On 31st October 2017, Christians around the world celebrated 500 years of Reformation. On the same day was the centennial of the key victory for Israel’s freedom.2 years agoIt is a great story most of us here in Israel are not aware of how the ANZAC were instrumental and lead the conquest of israel from the Turks during WWI. This site is so impressive and is a very moving memorial at the same time. Worth a trip to Beersheba!11 months agoAbsolutely a must visit, no matter where you come from. A lot of fascinating history, well presented and very realistic. Colin, our guide, was absolutely amazing, great story teller and does what he does with love and passion!5 years ago100 years passed, glory days of the English war against the Ottmans. History was changed, 1400 dead NZ and Australians soldiers are memorial evidence.

At the moment the old city is under street maintenance so moving around proves difficult, there are many restaurants to go to altho most of them are junk food, the old city also features the negev museum, a science park and Playlist that I have been to.
Many stores scattered around the place with common grocery, nothing too special.
The only reason to visit the old city is if you’re around and is hungry or need to go to the bank (there are around 4 banks around including leumi mizrahi and hapoalim) overall I don’t find this place worth the gas money, there are better places to hang out like the big or mall.

Delicious food, nice atmosphere, great place for lunch stop on the Negev
This area left a very sad impression on me. Dirty, neglected, devastation everywhere. Walking there is not fun at all. The most beautiful thing in the area is the mosque and the brachychiton rupestris (bottle trees).
Lovely area with interesting history and lots of shops and nice food
The central streets are great for walking. Small branching streets are not always interesting – there are no beautiful buildings, it can be dirty, there can be auto repair shops.
