Originally on Ottoman Khan, or caravanserai , ann inn for travellers along the road. Around 1890 it was bought by Zionist organizations from Russia with the surrounding land of about 30 sq. km. Immigrants first came here before buildling houses and fight the swamps to start agriculture in the area. It was the largest agricultural settlement in the area. Walk through the museum and see how these people lived, which tools they used and suffered (from malaria).
