  1. Terrible company, avoid at all costs.
    1. They do not clean the cars
    2. They do not make accurate documentation of damage already on the car and charge you extra, even if you’ve literally pointed it out
    3. They tell you they will charge at the end, then charge randomly costing extra international transfer fees
    4. Whatsapp number gives you information, and the people at the desk dispute it.
    5. Extremely rude, just become quickly impatient and interrupting raising voices when asking simple questions in normal conversations.
    6. Cars in very poor condition are still rented out regardless of damage.
    7. Loads of hidden costs adding over 2000 shekels to my bill.

    I used to rent from them tons and had no issues, they have gone way down hill, do not rent from Suncar.

  2. The worst service you can ask for. Renting for long term and for each little thing you will need to have an argument before anything is changed.
    Asking for 2 months now to fix a camera in the car and the repeated answer is “it’s not their responsibility to take over”. All the requests are denined and overall I do not recommend at all. Check in advance what you are getting into.

  3. Do not rent from this company. The car we rented had a bad battery. On the morning after renting this car, it did not start. We happened to be in the Negev and when we called for service, were told it would be hours before someone could attend to us. Fortunately, a local was able to jumpstart the car but we still missed most of the morning plans. Several days later, again the car did not start and we were forced to give up our plans for that day. Suncar sent out a battery replacement after several hours of waiting for assistance, despite the fact we were only 20 minutes from the company office. When we called to complain about this poor service and vehicle, we were told that “this happens” and it was not the fault of the company and we may even need to pay extra for the service despite the fact that we paid full insurance. We lost two days of plans in an 8 day trip due to the poor choice in renting from this company. Look elsewhere

  4. I rented a car through a reservation center, I was promised a car one level above the car I rented, when I arrived to pick up the car, the branch did not keep the promise.
    Regardless of that, the car I received was in a very bad state of maintenance, every trip with the car was unbearable, so much so that I only made the most essential trips with the rented car.
    I do not recommend taking a car from them.

  5. The car was good, and the management was helpful and welcoming. Due to a misunderstanding I was initially charged for 3 days instead of one, but the issue was settled.

    Ordered an intermediate car, received kia picanto. Called support multiple times to get a replacement. Didn’t receive any adequate assistance, at the end of the day I had to drive 2 weeks in this small car. The car itself wasn’t too bad, the 3 stars are for the level of service. Check the remaining mileage when you receive the car. I’ve got a feeling that the full tank wasn’t really that full (mileage after I refuelled it was higher by around 70km)

    Unprofessional service. On Friday June 2nd, I rented a car through Thrifty. i did not know that they operate under Hertz. I picked it up at Ben-Gurion airport. While I reserved a small automatic car, they provided me with a manual gear SUV. The car had no functioning media panel. I couldn’t do much during the Sabbath. On Sunday morning I called the headquarters as well as the Haifa office. There was no way to reach a live agent. I also emailed them, but heard nothing back. I had to put my work on hold and drive to the agency. Initially, the service provider was kind and offered to replace the car. I was glad. When they saw that the tank of the SUV was not full (I drove it to Haifa), they told me that I will have to pay a fine. My expectations to the manager Zvika (who refused to give his last name) we answered rudely. Eventually, I had to fill the gas tank in a different location to avoid the fine. So, if you look for professional and customer oriented service, I suggest that you go to a different company.

    Returned my rental car in Haifa to this branch rather than driving all the way back to Tel Aviv air port. The staff was very helpful and directed me to the local train station as a quicker and cheaper option to return to work than using a cab. Saved 40 shekels with a short walk. Riding the train into Tel Aviv the next day took me straight to the airport as well without having to fight any traffic by driving.

    The worst place to return a car that I have ever been to. TERRIBLE customer service. This is not a real Hertz. No parking, when asking where to park, they tell you not here, not our problem. You keep looking 3, 4 people tell you you can’t park. Had to park in double line. The agent is only busy telling me not to park. I tell him I need to return the car. I am a Hertz One customer. He doesn’t care. I left the keys and told him it is his problem. The agent starting behaving offended. The agency manager arrived. He didn’t even apologize. Hertz in Israel cost close to TWO TIMES more than any other car rental agency. You expect a much higher standard of service. But what I got is the worst experience ever

    It starts with a crazy car price. 100 dollars for what use to cost 25 bucks – three days of a family car for roughly 350 dollars. The navigation requires your own network. You also have to tweak the media settings to have english keyboard, otherwise there is no internet for you. Obviously nothing the company can help with.

    Then when the car doesn’t start several times and you ask to replace it- they never show up.

    Crazy, i don’t know why these people are still in business.
